Methodology and data rules

Display order

Exchanges are ordered by CoinMarketCap exchange rank; DEXes follow the CMC rank as well. Wallets use the existing product source rank because CMC does not publish an official wallet ranking. Our data score is shown only as a separate reference column and does not determine the CMC order.

Data-score dimensions

Cost, withdrawal, liquidity, asset coverage, API, regional availability, stability, security and regulation. Default weights are published on the ranking page. Security and regulation currently carry a weight of 0 because no verifiable facts are collected yet.

Missing data

Missing dimensions are treated neutrally and listed separately. Missing is not zero and is not a negative judgement. Completeness counts only dimensions that participate in scoring.

Fees

Only fee records with status verified participate in cost calculations. When no verified fee exists, calculators require manual rates and never show a zero cost.

Affiliate relationships

An affiliate link is rendered only when it is approved and active and its destination host passes the allowlist. Featured partner placements are labelled separately; commission never affects scores or rankings.

User ratings

There is no user-rating system, so no review score or composite score is shown. We do not generate fake ratings, review counts or user reviews.

Corrections

When an error is found, the correction log publishes what changed and why. Data snapshot dates and sources are shown with the page.
